Using
A Fast Hard Disk
This is really a non-issue nowadays because of
the dramatic increases in the size of harddrives. With these size increases,
manufacturers have had to keep the access time of drives at a considerably faster rate
than they used to be. If you have a harddrive larger than 2GB, then you *probably*
don't have to worry about this. If not, and you've followed all the other
instructions on this page to no avail, slowing the read/write speed to 1x will allow the
disc to keep up... but if you're still having problems, you might try it on a newer
computer and see if you get the same results.
