Disabling Microsoft Find Fast
A utility included with Microsoft Office, called
"FindFast", will occasionally start up and scan your hard drives. This
can easily cause an interruption in the data flow to your CD-R, creating a coaster
(expecially at speeds above 2X). Disabling this by deleting the shortcut in the
C:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp folder may be necessary. Personally, I find
this program a waste of system memory (as it's a TSR), and I just don't install it in the
first place :)
