Mitsumi
4804 Problems
Many of the problems you encounter with the
Mistumi 4804 can be solved by making sure that you have up to date firmware. For the
Mistumi 4804, you'll need to make sure you've got version 2.4c.
You can get a copy of version 2.4c from here, Mitsumi's site.
Although better than the 4801, it's still a
Mitsumi, and still scores very low on my rate-o-meter, if you will. Think of Mitsumi
as the Yugo of CD-R's.
Make sure you've got up to date ASPI drivers as
well! (Check here for those).
Don't forget to read important information
concerning possible software conflicts with Nero and Adaptec.
