RO-1420C and RS-1420C Problems
This drive's firmware is flash-upgradable, but you have to be careful...
there's a lot of different versions of this drive out there, and you don't want to
mis-match your drives' frimware before upgrading it!
Check out Ricoh's Firmware page to get the firmware upgrade you need. You
can upgrade the following drives:
The RO/RS-1420C w/512K buffer (standard model) can be upgraded to version
1.60. Read this

The RO/RS-1420C w/1MB buffer (US and Europe special model) can be upgraded
to version 1.61. Read this for more information.
The RO/RS-1420C w/2MB buffer (US and Europe special model) can be upgraded
to version 1.62. Read this for more information.
This drive will not do packet-writing.
