Yamaha
CRW2260 Problems
How would you like to DOUBLE the writing speed
of this drive? It's been rumored you can do so. Check out this site and
look at the instructions for the CDR-200 - it's been said the same can be done for the
2260 to make it a 4260!
As with many CD-R problems, firmware upgrades
can cause miracles to happen! First, make sure you've got up to date firmware -
version 1.0q is the latest and greatest for the Yamaha CRW2260.
You can get a copy of version 1.0q from here,
Yamaha's site.
First, make sure you've got up to date ASPI
drivers. (Check here for those).
Make sure you've got the proper settings set on your software,
and that your computer is setup correctly.
Don't forget to read important information
concerning possible software conflicts with Nero and Adaptec.
Pick the right media! Read this to see what other people have to say about what
media does and doesn't work well with their Yamaha drives...
Other than that, I don't think you should be
having trouble with this drive.
