Faulty MOD
Chips
An improperly installed MOD chip can cause all
kinds of problems from the obvious of the backups not working to things like the
controllers not working properly. Make sure all your connections are solid, they're
not touching anything but the connections they're supposed to be on, and you don't have
any cold solder joints. If you think that you did it correctly, try using the swap
method to get your game to play. If it DOES play, you've probably got a bad
MOD chip. Go back to where you got it from, and explain your situation. Most
MOD chip vendors will work with you on these kinds of problems without giving you any
grief.
